Brief – One person died and five others were wounded and rushed to hospital after herders attacked Payesu village in the Chibok Local Government Area in Borno state on Monday, January 10.
Habu Musa, a villager told RNI reporter Aisha Jamal that the herders stormed the village after they were chased from Gatamarwa village where they went into farms to feed their animals. He said the herders had bows and arrows and guns.
Musa said he saw eight vehicles carrying troops heading towards the area and heard gunfire.
On Friday, December 24, herders broke into farms land in the same area. Two farmers were killed in the clash and two wounded.
